 Have you viewed YouTube videos from First Amendment Auditors? These folks film in public spaces and end up being confronted by police. Sometimes "concerned citizens" call it in because they find the YouTubers "suspicious".  Other times police happen upon these Guardians Of Free Speech. At times it appears the Auditors push the envelope by provoking a situation. Is it to drive likes and subscriptions up? The First Amendment Auditors know their rights. Do the police?  A rough night.  Allergies did not help. OUR sleep pattern is a mess. At least it is Sunday# Saturday night are sedate because of the Coronavirus Pandemic and WE are now in OUR late 50s.  Back in the 1990s WE would hit thr Millennium Coffeehouse in McAllen, Texas and get home a bit after midnight. That was so long ago! WE are different. Age has lassosed some common sense. Plus WE don't have a wild girlfriend. Time for some coffee.

 WE had a modest watermelon yield last year. WE are hoping for a better one this year! Do you have any watermelon in your garden?

 A nice morning walk helps energize OUR. soul, heart and mind. Especially out in the countryside!

 Avoid businesses where employees do not wear a mask.  WE have noticed a convinience store where the cashier is maskless. WE will no longer patronize that place. Please stay safe The store is at the intersection of Conway and 6 Mile Line in Mission, Texas. Wear a nask or bandana, practice social distancing and limit outings. Get Vaccinated.  This time of the year one can find  tender cactus aka Nopalitos. You can prepare them different ways. Egg and tender cactus for breakfast. You can have them with shrimp for lunch or in a soup for supper. Get Creative! Tender Cactus, tomato, onoon, gatlic and squash in a soup bowl! Souper!

 I know people that suffer from allergies. I have seen how miserable they feel. They take medication for it. I was alarmed by the impact of allergies. In late 2012 I came down with viral pneumonia. 16 days in the hospital. Surgery because one lung was still filled with liquid was scary. Painkillers helped. I had to see a respiratory specialist. Talk about an eye opening experience! He diagnosef me as having allergies! I just thought I would get a cold every year in a certain month not related to cold weather. Allergies. It made sense. The specialist informed me many folks in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas suffer from allergies. Some don't even know it. I was in that category. The doctor offered me pills for those ills. I decided not to take them. I live with my allergies. I wish they paid rent!

 Was there talk of a movie about the infamous Irene Garza Murder? The young beauty queen/schoolteacher was murdered in 1960. Her body was found in a canal on 2nd Street in McAllen, Texas. Ex-priest John Feit was convicted of killing Miss Garza in 2017. He died in prison in 2020. Justice was delayed. Was it because of a cover-up involving the Catholic Church and local law enforcement? The murder case was politicized and resulted in a longtime districted attorney's defeat by a member of a powerful poltical family of South Texas. Were 'witnesses" "encouraged" to suddenly remember details long forgotten? Where were these witnesses in the 1970s and 80s? Why didn't police investigators courageously blow the lid off the cover-up? They did not have the guts to risk their law enforcement careers. Perhaps they went to their graves embittered by their cowardice. Public Opinion played a part. What about a witness that said Irene's car was parked near his house later

These business owners can refuse service to people who refuse to wear a mask or bandana. These biz owners care about their customers. They know that sick people does equal to healthy customers. Most of these YouTubers engage with the police.  The police officers foolishly fall for the bait.  "You Can't Film" is the wrong thing to say to the YT channel operator.  MARCY MARTINEZ was a dynamic news anchor at KGBT-TV  CHANNEL 4 in Harlingen, Texas. The CBS affiliate was lucky to have such talent. The former beauty queen lit up the TV.  Ms. Martinez is now the Director of Public Relations/Corporate Communications at DHR Health.
